Communication Skills Training
(1 full day)

Most workplace problems - missed deadlines, team conflict, unhappy customers, poor performance - trace back to one root cause: a breakdown in communication.

This one-day workshop gets to the heart of how people actually communicate at work. Not just what they say, but how they say it, how they listen and how they adapt their style to the person in front of them.

It's practical, honest and immediately applicable - whether participants are communicating with a customer, a colleague or their manager.

Course Overview

This workshop covers both the theory and the practice of effective communication in a professional setting. Participants explore verbal and non-verbal communication, written communication, active listening, communication styles and how to navigate difficult or sensitive conversations at work.

By the end of the day, participants won't just understand communication better — they'll have practised it in real scenarios relevant to their workplace.

What Participants Will Be Able to Do

  • Communicate confidently and clearly in a range of workplace situations

  • Recognise different communication styles and adapt accordingly

  • Listen actively, not just wait for their turn to speak

  • Express themselves effectively in writing, on the phone and in person

  • Identify and work around common communication barriers

  • Handle conflict and difficult conversations more constructively

  • Build stronger working relationships through better day-to-day communication

Who Should Attend

This program is a good fit for:

  • Professionals who want to communicate with more confidence and clarity

  • Team members whose role involves regular interaction with colleagues, clients or customers

  • Fresh graduates and early-career professionals learning how to carry themselves at work

  • Anyone who has been told they need to "work on their communication" and isn't sure where to start

How the Session Is Run

This is a workshop, not a lecture. The session is built around activities, group discussions, video presentations and real workplace scenarios. Participants learn by doing, not just listening.

A post-session assessment is included to measure understanding and application of key concepts.

The workshop is conducted in person at your chosen venue, anywhere in Brunei or across Southeast Asia.
