About Doris Suresh - Professional Corporate Trainer
I am a corporate trainer and training provider based in Brunei, specialising in power skills (soft skills) and professional development programs for organisations and individuals.
I work with companies that want stronger communication, better workplace behaviour and more confident, professional teams. My programs are delivered in person and onsite, at venues chosen by my clients - in Brunei and across the Southeast Asia region.
I believe training should be practical, relevant and easy to apply. What teams learn in the room should still work when they return to work the next day.

My Background
My career began in Brunei with the Sheraton Hotel and later progressed into regional roles with Starwood, Marriott and Shangri-La, based in Singapore.
For more than 25 years, I’ve worked across frontline operations, sales, marketing, analytics and regional training roles. These were real business environments, often fast-paced and high-pressure - not classroom theory. That experience shapes how I train today.
I understand the realities teams face at work, which is why my programs focus on skills that people can relate to, practise and use immediately.
Training Experience
Training has been at the core of my work for over two decades.
I spent 12 years delivering training programs with Starwood Hotels & Resorts across Asia Pacific, followed by two years with a leading telecommunications company in Brunei. My work focused on service excellence, professional communication and performance improvement.
Today, I run an independent corporate training company in Brunei, supporting organisations that are looking for a reliable, experienced training partner who understands both people and business.
Regional & Cross-Cultural Exposure
My training work has taken me to 36 cities across the Asia-Pacific region, including Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, China, Japan and India.
Working with teams from different cultures has reinforced one core belief: people learn best when they feel understood and respected. Every program I deliver is customised to the organisation, the participants and the cultural context - never generic or one-size-fits-all.
Culture and Language
Coming from mixed Chinese and Indian heritage, I naturally value diversity and bring that mindset into every workshop.
I’m fluent in English and Malay, and conversant in Hakka, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien - allowing me to connect comfortably with participants across different cultural backgrounds. This helps make each session inclusive, relatable and engaging.
